A little girl is looking out of her bedroom window on a snowy Christmas evening, searching the sky for signs of Santa when she accidentally knocks her favourite cuddly toy out into the snow. A passing kitten diabolically grabs the toy and runs away with it persued by the girl. Events cause her to get pulled further and further from the safety of her home, eventually retrieving her toy and befriending the kitten. Whilst trying to find their way home they encounter surprises, dangers and a mysterious man who lives in the woods with his large dog.
